Gordon Darryl Lowrie was born in South Shields on December 19, 1947. He was the first born child/son of Gordon Lowrie (deceased) and Doris Lowrie (nee Ford). He was a much loved son and big brother to Jennifer, Jim and Adrienne. He is, and always will be, much loved and will always be remembered by his mam Doris, stepdad Tom and his brother and sisters. Darryl was a real character who read voraciously and was blessed with a retentive memory which make him a fount of information on every subject he ever read about. He was a brilliant raconteur, great company, very affectionate man who adored his mam. Sadly his long time partner Susan died just three months before him and for those of us in his family who have faith, they are now re-united.
